Every Sunday Sean and I shamelessly put a huge Charcuterie board together and try new wines. It has become something we really look forward to doing together. I figured I would start to share our board and wine choices with you all!
Here is a picture of our first board:
Everything you see here was purchased at Aldi, with the exception of one item. I absolutely love going to Aldi to get items for my Charcuterie Boards. They have a great selection at great prices and are always adding in really good seasonal cheeses.
This board I am using is available here. I also like to fill little bowls and dishes I find within my home for things like olives, honey, jams, jelly’s, preserves and spreads. A set of small plain white dishes is always great to have on hand, such as these. Lastly, I have these fun decorative measuring cups I like to utilize within my boards as well, I always find the best ones here.
This weeks board consisted of:
Cheeses:
– Brie (A favorite in our home)
– Manchengo
– Cranberry Cinnamon Goat Cheese
Meats:
– Prosciutto
– Capicola
– Hot Calabrese
– Peppered Salami
– Spicy Bite Size Salami
Extras:
– Olives (Kalamata & Garlic Stuffed Spanish)
– Honey
– Fig Preserve
– Red Pepper Jelly (This was the only item not from Aldi, I had it on hand from a Trader Joe’s trip)
– Assorted Crackers
*Nuts are a great extra to add onto boards, unfortunately I am allergic so you wont see any on ours.
Wine Pairings:
This week we enjoyed Vignamaggio Gherardino Chianti Classico Rivera with our board.
*I forgot to take a picture with our wine, so this is from the lovely app Vivino.
